Opening in early May and running through October, each Wednesday beginning at 11am - 3pm. Directly situated next to Mirror Pond at Drake Park. This is Bend at its best.

Big Story Bookstore (new & used books)
A m of a bookstore in Bend that reminds me of Powell's in Portland as there are oodles of used books (in like-new-condition) and a welcoming and playful atmosphere for those of us who love words, books and learning something new.

Bonta Gelato
I am officially a gelato convert from ice cream and it is because of this locally owned business that has gone national (for a delicious reason). Bonta has two locations (partially a 3rd), and it is a must try. They sell their gelato in NW Market as well.

Cafe de Chutes
A lovely cafe/bakery (pastries and sandwiches. There is ample outdoor bistro seating under shade and off the street. The pups and I love to go here and work outside for hours while nibbling on something delicious.

For a scrumptious breakfast or lunch (closes at 2pm), most people sit outside, with outdoor heaters in the cooler months as the restaurant is located on Newport Avenue across from Newport Market - lovely people watching.

Cosa Cura (consignment clothing)
Wonderfully, seasonal consignment clothing. This is their first location, and they now have one in SW Bend with even more to peruse. Fair prices, quality clothing. Worth treasure-hunting for sure.

The classic, cozy bookstore located in downtown Bend. New books on the main floor and used books upstairs. Stay, read, nibble and enjoy.

LOVE this shop - clothing and home décor available - many of it high quality consignment brands and treasured vintage finds, but new items as well (candles, etc.). I found a top-notch wool blazer for $5! Thoughtfully curated.

Iron Horse Second Hand (2nd Shop)
After you visit their original location (near Drake Park), be sure to pop into their second location where Eddie has even more. He needed more space for all of his treasures, and I think this is the best of the two (but stop into both, b/c you never know)

Inspired by the décor and drink of the 1920 speakeasies, Lady Bird is a unique treat for locals and visitors to Bend. The service was impeccable, and the limoncello profiteroles - yum!

This is a wonderful new bakery in the Old Mill District. Family run and owned - wonderful croissants, a beautiful modern interior decorated bakery with ample seating inside and out. Pick up a baguette or an olive loaf while you're there!

A great place for breakfast, and the wait is worth it. Located in a bustling part of Bend on the roundabout corner of Galveston and NW 14th, you will see Bend while you wait, which makes it quite enjoyable.
